THE BAG CONTAINS 25 PATCHES for INFUSION SETS (18 in RAINBOW). The bag also contains instructions.

DIMENSIONS PATCH: 6.5 cm (diameter), HOLE: 2 cm (diameter), BAG: 18 x 14 cm (LxW)

PATCH is an adhesive patch with a hole for common diabetes technology, such as sensors, pumps, and infusion sets. The main purpose of patches is to extend the area that adheres to the skin and thereby ensure that the device's own adhesive stays on the body until the pump or sensor would otherwise be replaced.

MATERIAL A thin, strong, and stretchy textile material that follows the body's movements, breathes, and adheres well even when wet. 97% cotton and 3% lycra.

The patch has an approved medical adhesive according to European standard (ISO 10993) which is hypoallergenic and latex-free. The adhesive is applied in a wave pattern for improved breathability and adhesion. It also looks nice.

USE Everyone has different skin types, and although our patches are very gentle, we recommend applying the patch as late as possible, i.e., waiting until you know you will be spending a lot of time in water or engaging in strenuous physical activity that involves a lot of sweating. This is to ensure that the patch does not come loose prematurely while also protecting the skin. This applies primarily to sensors that stay in the same place for a long time (10-14 days). If the patch starts to come loose, we recommend cutting off the part that has started to detach and possibly then applying another patch over the old one.

APPLICATION The patch is on a thin white paper film that is perforated through the middle, making it easy to apply to the skin.

  • First, make sure the skin is clean and dry in the area where the patch will be applied. Be careful not to apply patches to sunburned or otherwise damaged skin.
  • Gently pull the paper film apart at the perforation so you can see a little of the colored backing. Carefully remove one half and apply half of the patch to the skin without touching too much of the sticky surface.
  • Once half of the patch is adhered to the skin, remove the other part of the film and apply the rest of the patch.
  • Pat and rub with a finger around the entire applied patch to ensure it is firmly attached.

REMOVAL We recommend using an adhesive remover spray (e.g., Niltac). Spray it on and let it work for a few seconds. Then quickly peel off the patch and wipe away any residue to leave the skin clean and smooth. Moisturize with a rich skin cream to keep the skin soft and supple.
